"There’s more to this than what you might think at first. Sometimes, you have a lot of bad days. Maybe you have a period of bad weeks, or months, or even years. You suffer depression. You have disorders. You lose people. You become lost.
Throughout life, the vast majority of us live through at least one crucible experience. We lose hope, we hate life, we become depressed. The light in our life is all but gone, if not gone altogether. Things seem like they can’t get any better or any worse, depending on which way you look at it. You feel like you’ve reached rock bottom and rather than going up from here, you’re just tunneling farther underground.
But it can get better, and it will. In order to truly appreciate and enjoy a good day, or a good week, or a good month, or a good year, or even a good life… you’ve got to put up with the bad. Is it fair? No. Is it desirable? Probably not. That’s the way life works, though. And you’ve just got to accept it, because it’s not going to change.
People are always saying that they wished they knew the reason for why bad things happen to them… maybe that’s it. Maybe, as horrible and unjust as it seems, that’s why bad things happen. So you can appreciate the good. It all comes into balance.
Either way, my point is this: You may be struggling now. You may have been struggling for a while now. Chances are, if you’re following me, that is the case. But there is light. You can go up from here. Hope still exists. Tomorrow does have the potential to be a better day. It may not be, but it still can be. You never know until you get there.
So get through the bad, and appreciate the good. Happiness is fleeting, but so is pain. It may stick around longer, but not forever. I promise."
The light is here. Everything is getting better. And I'm glad. So, so glad. :)
