It's 3.30am, and I'm awake. My body clock is screwed and I guess I've kinda given up trying to fix it. Some days, i can sleep at 8pm and be up at 5am to study. Some days, I won't be able to fall asleep until 3-ish in the morning.

The best thing about staying up is that I get what I don't get in the morning - serenity. Listening to Boyce Avenue, sipping my chrysanthemum tea (nope, no sugar. Just chrysanthemum flowers and hot water) and typing away.

It's a crucial period now, with finals just 10 days away. Yeah, I don't even know what I'm doing here since blogging is definitely not one of my tasks in my to-do list.. Guess I've really changed. In the past, having a to-do list and planning my days really detailedly helped me to push myself and work even harder.

An example of detailed planning goes like this:
8-10am: Chapter x, complete notes and identify questions
10-10.20am: Break
10.20am-11am: Buffer time, if not do chapter xx

There are a few reasons why I think lists don't work for me:
1) I'm getting really lazy
2) Studying is not my priority anymore (What is, then?)

I guess it's more of the latter. I'm not saying that studying isn't important. In fact, back in JC, getting into a local university was a DO or DIE thing. It was like my life depended on it. After I got into SMU, I kinda brainwashed myself that GPA isn't really important and "things will be fine as long as I get above 3" But sometimes, I get the idea that 3 is definitely NOT enough and I get upset at myself for not working hard. (See the similarity between this and my body clock - maybe that's why, lol)

Maybe it's because I've been working hard since Secondary school that I'm so sick of it. I'm sick of going for classes, submitting my homework on time, being the good student etc. I just wna play and NOT study the day before my exams, but I know, I won't do it.

Ranting on and on doesn't help, so I guess I'll just make this short and continue with my IEA revision.

P/s: I started on the sample paper about 6 weeks before finals and consulted prof on it. And he was surprised because he said that people only start on it a week before finals. (Lol ame, so much for wanting to play and not study -_- I really contradict myself sometimes)

Okay, I take it all back. I really want my hardwork to pay off, just like in midterms. Because my parents have paid so much for my education (Five thousand plus for one semester, damn it) and it can't go to waste.

FOOOOOOD: 
Have been making overnight oats for breakfast since Monday. Super yums and healthy!
All you got to do is mix oatmeal, non-fat yoghurt (yes, those disgusting sour ones), low-fat milk/soyabean milk and nuts and leave it in the fridge overnight. ^^ 
 Meal-prep for school. Veggies, mushrooms and baked beans. 
Only spent $2.50 this week so far, HEHEHEH 
 Baked wholemeal bread using the bread maker. So damn goooood but it's always not enough for the family hahaha 

Before I go, current favourite quote: 
"If you're not as smart as others, you can study harder. 
If you're not as fit (skinny, in my case) as others, you can work out more. 
But if you're less determined than others, there's nothing you can do." 

And what someone told me 2 years back (in JC):
"Amelia Kang, you're the most hardworking girl I've ever met wtf" 

Now, where did the hardworking girl go to?

This was during recess week - made my day :) 

And on Thursday, I met my girls for dinner at d'Good cafe. 

When we were deciding where to meet: 
Me: Plaza Sing food court plz i'm trying to save money
Them: Meet at holland v!!
Me: Huh cafes or restaurants? Holland v ex :( 
Them: Holland v coffee shop lah, the tzechar not bad 
Me: All the way to Holland to have tzechar?? Ok lorrrr 

In the end, we settled for dinner at d'Good cafe because I was too lazy to walk to the hawker centre and I didn't want to perspire, lol. Got seats at the balcony and it was a damn good place to chill :) 

Shared eggs benny with Fel while Wong & Qi shared cabonara. It was so good T_T 
Fel'z green tea latte!! Best I've ever tried. My latte was kinda ~meh~
 After dinner: 
"Ame you want cupcakes?"
"Huh you mean walk to Plain Vanilla to get them now? Don't want lah, lazy" (I really just wanted to nua and chill that day after my insanity workout hahaha)
"No, we have them here. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!! AND MERRY CHRISTMAS IN ADVANCE"

LOL. MY FRIENDS HAHAHAHA
I really didn't expect it at all 'cuz Wong & Qi came for the surprise celebration that Pl organized & Fel came to my place at 12am on my birthday. The reason was that we didn't get to celebrate together as a clique.. So touched, I love y'all T_T 
Headed to Starbucks after because they wanted to get the butterbeer latte. And I got them to get a tumbler for me since they were "celebrating" my birthday HAHAHAH #badfriend #itsokiknowyouallstillloveme 
The tumbler came with a free drink & we somehow told the barista that we want non-fat milk + no whipped cream 3 times. 
1) I said it when I ordered
2) Qi reminded the barista 'cuz she thought i didn't say it 
3) Fel asked, "eh did y'all say no cream and non-fat?" & the barista overheard
And this was the result. HAHAHAHAH 

Awesome day out and I really can't wait to meet them this Sat again to celebrate Fel'z birthday!! :)

Yesterday (Sunday): Mugging away in School~ coffee in my new tumbler ^^ 

 There was a miscomm and Daddy waited about an hour for me to have dinner together T_T 
Baskin Robbins from the Sister 'cuz she's working there! And nope I didn't eat it haha. My family shared this with a bag of chips at around 1am yesterday? They're all gna gain weight lorr
Despite having 3 hours of sleep, I managed to cook (swear i was doing it with my eyes half closed) hehe. Gonna have it for lunch later! Tofu, veggies, carrot, mushrooms and my dope chilli sauce. ^^

My loots from iHerb that came last week! 
0 cal chocolate syrup, the dope chilli sauce, healthy cereal (no more sugary cereal, like banana nut crunch) & natural nut butters. HEALTHY HEALTHY.

Also, mummy got me a blender and bread maker recently, which means I'll be able to have more shakes and bake wholemeal bread! I guess it's a good thing that I'm cooking and preparing my meals more often 'cuz i get to save $$, eat cleaner and uhm, a form of housewife training HAHA.

HARROW!!
Blogging in IEA class right after my presentation because I'm so happy!!! 
Finally, the hardest project is over (I've 6 presentations this sem, 2 left!) and I really feel the need to celebrate~ hahahaha. I was so nervous during my presentation that i said "GPA" as "GDP" though :/ 

Back to yesterday, 3rd november
Woke up at 5-ish for the Nike 10km race. The race was free (if not I've to pay $40 haha) because there were slots offered to SMU sports clubs. :D #whyiloveSMU

With the Netballers!

 Didn't expect to see Wong working for the event!! Haha she had to be on skates & cheer the runners 

DONE WITH 10KM!
Yay to 2 free nike tops and water bottle hahaha I'm super cheapo.

 I'm at week 5 (recover week) of the insanity workout! And 3 weeks left to finals. Gonna push on and persevere!
